Transaction ID (TXID)
The unique identifier for a single Zcash transaction, derived from its own contents.
A transaction ID (txid) is a fixed-length hash computed from a transaction's own data — every transaction gets exactly one, transparent and shielded alike. It's what you search for on a block explorer to look up a specific transaction, and what a wallet shows as proof a payment was broadcast.
A shielded transaction still has a public txid, even though its sender, receiver, and amount stay private — the txid only identifies *that* a transaction happened, not what's inside it.
