Coinbase Transaction
The special first transaction in a block that creates new ZEC and pays it to the miner as the block reward.
Every block's first transaction is a coinbase transaction — not to be confused with the Coinbase exchange. Instead of spending existing coins, it creates new ZEC out of the current block subsidy (plus that block's collected transaction fees) and pays it out, typically to the miner who found the block.
Because a coinbase transaction doesn't reference any earlier transaction as its input, it has no real "sender" the way an ordinary transaction does — it's the point where new supply enters circulation, not a transfer of existing funds.
