Zcash Community Grants (ZCG)
A grants program funded by 8% of the block subsidy, with awards decided by an elected five-seat committee — separate from coinholder-directed grants.
Zcash Community Grants (ZCG) is funded by a dedicated stream of 8% of the block subsidy. Under ZIP 1015, its funds are received and administered by the Financial Privacy Foundation, and awards are decided by a five-seat ZCG Committee, which can fund well-specified work that grantees propose, including ongoing work.
ZCG is a different program from Coinholder-Directed Retroactive Grants, which pays for completed work from the Coinholder-Controlled Fund after a vote of ZEC holders. One did not replace the other.
