Viewing Key
A key that lets someone see the contents of shielded transactions without being able to spend the funds.
A viewing key allows selective disclosure of shielded transaction data. Someone holding a viewing key for a shielded address can see incoming transactions, amounts, and balances — but cannot spend or move the funds, since that requires the separate spending key.
This is useful for auditing, accounting, or proving payment to a third party (like a regulator or accountant) without giving up privacy from the general public or handing over control of the funds.
