Max Supply
The hard cap on the total number of ZEC that will ever exist: 21 million.
Zcash has a fixed maximum supply of 21 million ZEC, the same cap as Bitcoin. New coins are issued to miners as block rewards, which shrink over time through halvings, until the cap is reached and no more new ZEC is created.
