The Zcash network marked its tenth anniversary today, having launched on October 28, 2016. The network was created with the central idea that digital money should offer privacy alongside its other functions.
Over the past decade, Zcash has moved zero-knowledge technology from academic research into a live, global network while developing its privacy features, security, and usability. The milestone arrives during Zcon7, the annual Zcash community conference, currently taking place in Cancún.
