Digital Currency Group founder and Grayscale Chairman Barry Silbert has reportedly outlined an extremely bullish long-term case for $ZEC.
Speaking during an event at YZi Labs in Bhutan, Silbert suggested that Zcash could eventually reach roughly 10% of Bitcoin’s market capitalization — implying a ZEC price around $8,000.
His thesis centers on Zcash combining Bitcoin-like monetary properties with significantly stronger privacy capabilities.
Silbert also took a shot at memecoins, describing them as essentially gambling — and reportedly joked that if you're going to speculate, “the best choice is to buy ZEC.”
An $8,000 ZEC would represent an entirely different valuation regime for Zcash.
The bigger question:
Can privacy become valuable enough for Zcash to capture 10% of Bitcoin’s market cap? 🛡️
Silbert’s comments represent his personal view, not an official Grayscale price target or financial advice.
