🚀 ZCASH SCALING: UDON RELEASED AS TACHYON TARGETS 50,000+ PRIVATE TRANSACTIONS/SEC

Zcash developers have released Udon, a new piece of technology being developed as part of the network’s broader scaling roadmap.

The release is connected to Project Tachyon — an ambitious effort exploring how Zcash could dramatically increase the throughput of private transactions.

⚡ The long-term target: 50,000+ private transactions per second.

Udon is an important building block toward that vision, helping move Tachyon’s underlying technology forward.

But an important distinction: Zcash does not process 50,000 TPS today. This is a long-term scaling target, and the technology still requires further development, testing and security review before anything could reach the Zcash mainnet.
