Zcash users holding funds in the legacy Sprout shielded pool should consider migrating them before NU7.
The proposed NU7 change would disable V4 transactions — effectively freezing funds still held in Sprout ("zc..." addresses) unless support is re-enabled in the future.
The current NU7 mainnet target is November 5, 2026.
Important: Old Zcash does not automatically mean Sprout. Transparent "t1..." and "t3..." funds are not part of the Sprout pool.
If you still have an old "wallet.dat", Sprout spending key, or Zcash wallet from the early years, now is the time to check it.
