Zcash Clarifies: ZRC-20 Is NOT an Official Zcash Standard

The official Zcash account has issued a clarification amid growing attention around tokens being built on Zcash:

• ZRC-20 is not a Zcash protocol standard.
• Zcash Shielded Assets (ZSA) remain experimental on Testnet.
• $ZEC remains the native asset secured directly by Zcash consensus.

ZRC-20 is a separate token/meta-protocol built on top of the Zcash blockchain — it should not be confused with a native Zcash protocol feature.
