MORE THAN HALF OF ZCASH TRANSACTIONS ARE NOW SHIELDED

Privacy usage on Zcash is showing significant growth.

According to the latest ZECStats data, Zcash recorded 10,897 transactions per day, with 56.66% of transactions being shielded.

• Shielded Supply: 4.90M ZEC
• Shielded % of Supply: 28.92%

This distinction matters: while around 29% of the ZEC supply is shielded, more than half of current transactions are using Zcash's shielded infrastructure.

Jeremiah Rogers also highlighted an important aspect of Zcash privacy: Zcash isn't a traditional mixer. Fully shielded transactions operate within a shared privacy pool, obscuring sender, recipient and transaction amount from the public blockchain.

The numbers suggest that Zcash's privacy technology isn't just a narrative — it's increasingly being used.
