Felix Jauvin, Head of Content at Blockworks and host of Forward Guidance, says he has been digging deeper into the Zcash investment thesis — and is now considering rotating part of his Bitcoin exposure into ZEC.
“I started to research more and more on the Zcash side of the thesis.”
🔒 PRIVACY AS THE DIFFERENTIATOR
One of Jauvin’s main arguments is privacy. While Bitcoin operates on a transparent public ledger, Zcash offers shielded transactions designed to keep financial information private.
For large investors and institutions, Jauvin believes this distinction could become increasingly important.
“I like that it’s private.”
⚛️ THE QUANTUM QUESTION
Jauvin also highlights quantum computing as a long-term consideration for institutional investors.
“For big institutional allocators, the quantum thing is also really serious.”
While quantum computing is not an immediate threat to Bitcoin, investors thinking 10 or more years ahead may increasingly consider how blockchains plan to adapt their cryptography.
In Jauvin’s view, the combination of privacy and Zcash’s roadmap toward future cryptographic resilience makes ZEC particularly interesting.
₿ BTC → ZEC
His most striking comment was about his own allocation:
“I think I’m gonna rotate some of that Bitcoin into Zcash.”
It’s another sign that Zcash is increasingly being discussed not simply as a “privacy coin,” but as a potential long-term monetary asset with characteristics Bitcoin does not provide by default.
