The Hyperunit whale linked by Arkham to trader Garrett Jin is refusing to back down from his massive Zcash short.
According to the latest data shared by Arkham, the trader has closed his $106.18 million BTC long and instead increased his bearish exposure to ZEC.
His ZEC short has now grown to approximately $46.32 million at 3× leverage.
📉 ZEC Short: $46.32M
⚡ Leverage: 3×
🎯 Average Entry: ~$576
💰 Unrealized Loss: ~$23.41M
🏦 Account Value Remaining: ~$64.77M
Perhaps the most striking part: the whale originally entered the short around $444, but continued adding as ZEC climbed, pushing his average entry price up to roughly $576.
With ZEC trading around $1,165 at the time of Arkham's update, the position remained deeply underwater.
Rather than cutting the trade as Zcash continued higher, the whale has effectively doubled down on his bearish conviction.
With tens of millions of dollars now at stake, this has become one of the most closely watched ZEC positions on-chain.
The question is no longer whether the whale is bearish on Zcash — it's how long he can afford to stay bearish.
